So while I was in California my sister and brother-in-law inform me we are going to attend a party in the Hollywood Hills...some L.A. Blogger party. I had no idea what to expect so I thought to dress nice for once...I wore a dress everyone! I never wear dresses, okay! It was a cute navy blue Gap dress which made me feel really girly. We arrived, put name tags on and quickly found the bar. I always feel less awkward in these types of situations when I can intermittently sip in an attempt to avoid my obnoxious silence. My brother-in-law made me a fucking strong ass drink.
I was the youngest at the party besides the infant sleeping in the stroller. I couldn't really add much to the breastfeeding conversation and circumsicion debate. (Although I did mention how my friends have complained of stanky penises so teach your boys how to wash! I know...but I had to say something rather than smile and nod for another hour.) Don't get me wrong everyone was really nice, I just felt really young.
Well people I've learned to adapt so I tried to add to the child chit chat. (The party was hosted by blogger L.A. Daddy, I had to keep that in mind) I met Stephanie from BabyonBored and Kim from 8cmdeluded (forever known as Schmalooden because my sister and I couldn't read the name tag well, haha), Whit and Trix Honea, Anthony (who I later found out got naked in the hot tub) and many more lovely people. I really had a nice time.
After I finished my drink some chick in a bright orange short dress, covering a nasty orange fake tan topped off with bleached-blonde Paris Hilton like hair walked in. She came because she heard it was an L.A. writers party, loudly telling our host that she has auditions and such. My brother-in-law mentioned to her there was a director at the party (me! hahaha I wouldn't cast that chick in anything.) Her excitement faede as she soon discovered what type of writers were there and all of a sudden had plans...I assume to suck the dick of some other Hollywood dude...oh well.
The irony of the situation was my sister and I had like checked out at about 10 from exhaustion...I used the "I was a Mommy for the day and am tired excuse"...I'm such a loser.
Well Thank You L.A. blogger community, I hope you're happy. I have now started a blog and it's all because of you! I hope I do you proud.
